For the past few days, Floyd Mayweather has made constant headlines over the memory loss controversy. The entire anecdote took place when Mayweather met the budding boxing star, Jose Zepeda. In their interaction, Zepeda reminded Mayweather about sharing a sparring session with him. However, ‘TBE’ failed to recollect the same.

Citing that, many fans lashed out at the boxing kingpin, teasing him over memory loss. However, just a day ago, Mayweather fired back at his trolls.

Now, though, the boxing legend has yet again found himself in an unusual spot as he forgot the name of his recent exhibition bout opponent Logan Paul.

Speaking to Hoops Plug, he said, ‘‘If I wanna go pick up some backpack money. If I want to go pick up $10 million, $20 million, $30 million, 100, I can go to exhibition. It’s not even on my record. You know a lot of people talking about ‘Oh, that Jake Paul’.”

“Man, listen, it wasn’t a real fight. All I was doing, just every once in a while go to the gym, sit-ups, hit the heavy bag then go.”

Mayweather locked horns with Logan Paul in his June 2021 exhibition outing. In this fight, he reportedly banked at least $65 million. Also, prior to this fight getting finalized, there was massive news around which Paul brother would Mayweather actually face.

In the end, it was Logan Paul who got inside the ring with Floyd Mayweather. The lanky YouTuber, surprisingly, withstood Mayweather’s wrath. Also, post this fight, there were wild speculations about ‘TBE’ facing ‘The Maverick’s brother, Jake Paul.

But, until now, there’s no clarity on whether these two will ever fight. As of now, Mayweather seems to be enjoying his role as a promoter and it seems unlikely that he’ll step inside the squared circle again. However, many believe ‘Pretty Boy’ will not mind taking up the ring space if there’s a substantial amount on the table for him.
