VIDEO: Jake Paul Remembers His Dead Bodyguard ‘Shadow’ in a Heartfelt Clip

Jake Paul might have shown only destructive emotion towards his fellow boxers in his professional fighting career. However, he has a different side to it, which many people may not know. The 24-year-old appears extremely emotional when it comes to his close-ones. That said, Jake Paul has always been loyal to his team, and that goes beyond life and death.

‘The Problem Child’ has expressed the grief of losing his close friend and bodyguard ‘Shadow’, whom he claims to have been 46 years old now. While the unfortunate death crumbled Paul for a long time, the Internet star continues to remember his late friend to this day.

‘Shadow’ had been on Paul’s back for years and was an important member of the team. While he is no more amongst us, Jake Paul posted a throwback video on social media where the bodyguard was spotted taking lead in an early morning warm-up session.

Paul wrote, “Shadow would have turned 46 today. We all miss you.”

Shamir Bolivar, more popularly known as ‘Shadow’, was a fitness maniac too and was a companion to Jake Paul’s several practice sessions. Meanwhile, the untimely death came up at a very sensitive moment in Jake Paul’s career. Before going against former MMA world champion Ben Askren inside the boxing ring, Paul came across the disheartening incident. Hence, it clearly broke Jake Paul. But that didn’t stop ‘The Problem Child’ from doing what he was supposed to do.

When Jake Paul lost Shadow

Just nine days before his fight against Ben Askren, Paul posted the depressing news of Bolivar’s demise. He posted multiple images of him and his close friend on social media, expressing his love via words in the caption. While Paul entered the ring with a heavy heart, he took it out all over his opponent.

The fight barely began and Jake Paul landed haymakers on the former UFC fighter. That said, he mauled Ben Askren with the best blows and sealed the third consecutive win of his pro career with a stoppage. Now, it’s time for the YouTuber to go against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in a boxing scrap on August 28. On bagging a win, Paul would stage the biggest achievement of his combat career.
