Jose Pedraza possibly staged the biggest win of his fight-career as he became the first man to defeat Julian Rodriguez. Furthermore, ‘The Sniper’ attained it via stoppage, turning himself 29-3 as a professional boxer.

Although Rodriguez had constantly tried to outpoint his Puerto-Rican rival, Pedraza seized every moment he had and began dominating from the very first round. The 10-round battle saw both men enter a heated exchange and ‘Sniper’ Pedraza perfectly planted his shots.

Although Rodriguez ducked many of them, a few of those shots were enough to punish the American boxer. As the fight went to the eight-round, it was ‘game over’ for Julian Rodriguez. He quit the bout from his corner, in what turned out to be a shock to the fans.

Jose Pedraza vs Julian Rodriguez – War

Despite suffering a lopsided beat down, Rodriguez remained in the fight till he could. The 26-year-old did his best to avoid the sleek jabs coming from the other side. However, ‘Hammer Hands’ couldn’t land a clean punch from his end. It seemed that Pedraza had answers to all of Rodriguez’s actions.

As the fight went deeper, ‘Sniper’ looked more comfortable. In rounds six and seven, he unleashed his violent side in the ring, seemingly dismantling Rodriguez. Meanwhile, the American pugilist decided to revive himself in the bout.

However, he had taken a lot of punishment already and didn’t have the chance to win on the scoreboard. Hence, stoppage victory appeared to be the only option left for Rodriguez. While he seemed ready for that, Pedraza had other plans in his mind.

He battered Julian Rodriguez in the eighth round, which seemed to be the end of the show. Although ‘Hammer Hands’ made it to the end of the period, he couldn’t come back from his corner as his cornermen stopped the fight.
