Mike Tyson has received an exceptional offer from one of his boxing heroes- Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. The Mexican elite offered him the role as a referee on June 19. While the 54-year-old Tyson recently returned to boxing action in an exhibition last year, Chavez Sr. will walk the same path.

He will take on his former rival’s son, Hector Camacho Jr, in an exhibition bout. The event will also feature Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a bout against the UFC veteran, Anderson Silva.

Mike Tyson already has experience as a referee. Hence, Chavez Sr’s offer might urge him to enter the ring in this capacity. While interacting with Mikey Garcia on his podcast, Tyson face-timed Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. and saw the possibility of being a referee.
