In his illustrious career, Garcia has fought many bigwigs of the game, but his ultimate wish lies in testing himself against Manny Pacquiao.

For a long time, the Californian has expressed his notions of battling the Filippino Senator once in his lifetime. He wants this fight to solidify his legacy and etch his name in the history books.

That said, ES News recently released a training video of Garcia, wherein he’s seen putting a cosmic amount of hard work in the gym.

The 33-year-old last fought in February 2020 against Jessie Vargas. There, he claimed an easy unanimous decision win to get his boxing run back on track after a loss to Errol Spence Jr. With that, Garcia has now spent a substantial amount of time out of the game. But now, he wants to make a worthy comeback to the game.

And no one better than the veteran ‘Pacman’ can welcome Garcia back to action again.

Pacquiao himself hasn’t fought for the whole of 2020 and he is looking for one stout challenge in the welterweight roster. In fact, a few days back, he was getting aligned with the WBO welterweight champ, Terence Crawford, for a cracking 12-round war.

The fight was targeted for June 5. But due to some uncertainties, it couldn’t materialize.

Is Mikey Garcia a worthy opponent for Manny Pacquiao?

Furthermore, ‘Pacman’ is definitely in the final stepping of his career. Considering that, he’ll look to take on the biggest of opponents to solidify his legacy.
