While it has been a great camp for both the titleholders, they were recently spotted celebrating at a formal party. The pugilists sang together, and trainer Eddy Reynoso also indulged in the festivities. Garcia and Alvarez sang a famous Mexican song ‘El Rey’, sending several fans into a frenzy.

Following the celebrations, Ryan Garcia took to the stage and delivered a speech for all his well-wishers.

He said, “Just wanna thank everybody for supporting me. Thank my family, thank my whole team, Eddy, my big bro Canelo, my dad,  everybody that has been there since day 1.

“This was a big moment for my career and a moment that was needed. And I think, from now on, the sky’s gonna be the limit and I thank everybody.”

Meanwhile, 2021 can bring several more challenges for the Mexican superstars as they enjoy the warmth of the spotlight. Alvarez and Garcia are a part of a division full of elites. So, it is a constant risk to their legacy as several boxers can challenge them at this stage.

Canelo Alvarez hopes to unify all the belts at 168 lbs. So he will have to overcome Caleb Plant and Billy Joe Saunders to grab the IBF and WBO titles.

He is no longer associated with Golden Boy Promotions and can select his own opponents. So, Alvarez can pick up those fights in 2021 to expand his empire.

Ryan Garcia is the WBC Interim champion and can validate his mandatory spot to challenge Devin Haney for the lightweight belt. But he wants to face Gervonta Davis first.

If Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya can find some middle ground, 2021 will witness ‘Tank’ vs ‘KingRy’ with Davis’ WBA strap at stake.

Do you think Ryan Garcia and Canelo Alvarez will continue their dominance in 2021?
