Garcia can trace a long pathway, not just because of the attention he brings in for all of his fights, but because he holds some weapons in his arsenal that set him apart from the rest.
Recently, ‘King Ry’ released a video on his official Instagram account, wherein he’s seen displaying his high-class punching speed. He captioned the video, “Back on the grind boys. Ready to bring the speed and power into the ring. how many you think do you think I threw???”

Garcia fought only once in 2021. His last performance came in when he locked horns with Luke Campbell on January 2. The duo touched gloves for the interim WBC lightweight title.

To everyone’s surprise, Garcia was the first to go on the canvas in this fight. Despite getting knocked down, ‘KingRy’ collected himself and he continued fighting until he struck the Brit with a stupendous body shot in round 7.

Garcia won this fight alongside the interim strap. Unfortunately, because of inactivity, he got stripped off the same.

How can Ryan Garcia get back in the title race?
For now, Joseph Diaz has the WBC interim lightweight strap to his name. Hence, if the 23-year-old wants to fight for the title at some point, he’ll have to remove a major roadblock in Diaz.

That said, Garcia’s next bout might be against ‘Jo Jo’ and the winner of this contest will go ahead to fight the champ, Devin Haney.
