VIDEO: Shaquille O’Neal’s Reaction When Mike Tyson Punched His Back

Mike Tyson has never backed off from à scrap and was infamous for several brawls during the peak years of his boxing career. However, a lot of Tyson’s friendly gestures also had action infused as Shaquille O’Neal recalled being hit hard by the heavyweight star.

Well, NBA star Shaquille O’ Neal is also not the one to mess with. The 7-foot plus Lakers Legend was a massive force in the basketball court and his enormous size was fueled with an aggressive nature. However, that didn’t intimidate Tyson from pulling off a shot at him. The sporting legends recently connected with each other on face-time and recalled the incident.

Shaq said, “I remember one time we was in the century club and you hit me in my back so hard, I turned around and said and I was like mother f. ‘Hey what’s up Mike [Tyson]? How you doing boy, (laughs).” 

Mike Tyson replied, “I love you so much.”

Well, it was actually a friendly interaction between a boxing legend and a basketball icon. However, Tyson previously had another interaction with NBA superstar, Michael Jordan, and that didn’t well very well. Back when Tyson and Jordan were reigning in their respective sports, the duo met at a dinner party.

As reported, Tyson was having a drink of his choice and began an uncomfortable conversation with ‘Air’ Jordan. The situation turned uglier after Mike Tyson threatened to beat up Michael Jordan. No wonder it was a scary sight, as Tyson was in his prime back then. Well, 55-year-old Tyson has shown sheer differences in his personality. But one thing that has remained common is probably his itch to fight.

Mike Tyson just wants action

At the age of 54, when most athletes relish their retirements, Tyson re-laced the boxing gloves ad returned to action in an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. The fight received global attention and both the firer champions delivered a historic moment in sport’s history. The fight ended in a draw, but Tyson looked stronger and sharper than the ‘Captain Hook’.

It was Mike Tyson returning to the ring after fifteen years of hiatus. He still possesses a magnificent physique and can bag several potential opponents to decide to fight again. Thus, it verifies that the fighter in Mike Tyson will always be there.
