VIDEO: Strongman-Turned-Boxer Eddie Hall Breaks Punch Bag Machine

The sport of boxing has spread its roots to umpteen verticals. Thanks to exhibition boxing bouts which have marketed the sport in every corner of the world, more and more celebrities and athletes are all keen to try their hands in the same. Moreover, this trend is only getting better with time and even the strongman, Eddie Hall, is eager to fulfill his wish for the same.

Hall, who recently attended the Arnold Sports Festival, went to try his hands on the punch bag machine.

Before him, many other contenders tried their hands on this machine, but when Hall came up, everyone in the arena turned their attention to him.

Hall took four attempts. In his first one, the Strongman clocked 962 on the machine. In his second attempt, he crossed the previous number to touch 980. Hall touched 994 in his third attempt. Astonishingly, in his last one, he hit the bag so hard that the machine shut down.

Earlier this year, the British strongman was all set to collide with fellow big man, Hafthor Bjornsson. This fight was set to go on floors in September. However, Hall injured himself, thus pouring cold water on this fight.

However, he was in some grilling training and preparations for this bout, and that’s where he learned some notable boxing skills. On top of that, Hall fairly knows how to transfer his weight onto his punches now. His work on the punching machine is proof of the same.

Moreover, if he keeps on adding the skills to his arsenal, Eddie Hall will turn into an intimidating exhibition fighting star.

When is Eddie Hall fighting next?

It is unlikely that Hall will fight by this year. However, his fight with Bjornsson might come to fruition by March 2022.
