David Adeleye was recently spotted sparring with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in a training session. The 24-year-old British heavyweight began his boxing career on a wonderful note in 2019. In just over one year, he secured 4 wins and all of them have come via stoppage.

That said, the unbeaten prodigy is silently climbing ladders of a division that is filled with elite veterans. The current heavyweight division is stacked with a fair balance of young and experienced fighters, making it one of the most fierce units in all of boxing.

While Tyson Fury seemingly reigns over the entire roster, Adeleye has already traded punches with him. ‘Big D’ and ‘The Gypsy King’ sparred together in the UK, which worked to boost Adeleye’s confidence.

Having shared the ring with Fury, Adeleye believes, he is ready to aim for the top-rated heavyweights. He connected with BT Sport to shed some light on his ongoing scenario.

Adeleye said, “Being in there with Tyson (Fury) was a good experience for me, kinda shows where I am at. I think I hold myself well. I think I have done a good job and these are the guys that are at the top of the tree. And you know I am on my way up.”

However, he paid respect to the current champions in Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. While the two are touted to fight for the title unification in 2021, Adeleye claimed to be on the hunt for every other heavyweight contender.

What’s next for Tyson Fury and Davis Adeleye?

Tyson Fury will either fight Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua in 2021. So, the British powerhouse will clearly bag a treasure trove from either option. While Joshua has the chance to enter the ring against him, Wilder is also relevant in the WBC title picture.
