The overall scenario in Madison Square Garden was pretty intense tonight as heavyweight champions Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk came across each other at ringside. While Vasyl Lomachenko delivered an exceptional win against Richard Commey in-ring, Usyk and Fury teased the possibilities of their undisputed title fight by facing off outside the squared circle.

Usyk flew down to the USA to cheer his teammate Vasyl Lomachenko. Meanwhile, Tyson Fury came to celebrate his promoter Bob Arum’s 90 birthday. It wasn’t a heated affair. Both men had mutual respect for each other and seemed to relish their time after scoring historic title wins. They can take time to craft their return plans. However, Usyk may have to return quicker than Fury.

Will we see Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury in reality?

Oleksandr Usyk shall have to deal with Anthony Joshua once again before he leaps towards the other heavyweight matchups. Following his win in September, Usyk will fight AJ in 2022 again, unless the Brit superstar walks away from the rematch clause.

Joshua hasn’t confirmed his next move. But he has expressed his interest in facing Usyk for the 2nd time. He has also claimed to introduce a violent game plan this time.

Meanwhile, WBC has ordered Interim champion, Dillian Whyte, as a mandatory opponent to Tyson Fury. Thus, both the champions look favorable to go for title defenses next. In that case, an undisputed heavyweight fight will remain up in the air.
