On Saturday night, one of boxing’s prime athletes and the star of the lightweight division, Vasyl Lomachenko, will make his comeback to the ring. He will contend with Masayoshi Nakatani in a 12-round fight and look to redefine his boxing run.
Recently, the duo was involved in a faceoff where the Ukrainian boxer took a hilarious dig at Nakatani’s height.

Lomachenko, who’s considerably smaller than the Japanese boxer, asked him to come down to his height in an amusing way. And the duo shared a peal of laughter on the same. Also, both of them showed exuberant respect towards each other and they seemed ready to battle each other out.

‘Loma’ is one of the most skillful fighters in the 135-pound division. He stands 5’7” in front of his Saturday night opponent, who stands 5′ 11½”.
But in his short yet attractive career, the 33-year-old, who has faced such lanky opponents, has even fared astonishingly well against them. Moving further, over the past few months, Lomachenko has put himself in some rugged boxing workouts to prepare for sterner challenges in his career.

More than anyone else, ‘Loma’ is himself keen to revive his boxing run that went a bit out of track after the Teofimo Lopez fight. In that contest, the southpaw lost his hard-earned lightweight belts. And keeping the wider picture in mind, Lomachenko is looking forward to winning his Saturday night bout and going for the belts.
Can Vasyl Lomachenko really get his hands on Teofimo Lopez again?
Ever since that disheartening loss, the 33-year-old has stayed supremely eager to book a rematch with his foe.
But Lopez moved ahead to book a fight with George Kambosos Jr. That said, Lomachenko has a substantial while to prove his worth prior to Lopez vs Kambosos Jr. in August 2021.
If both the pugilists get past their next opponents, needless to say, a rematch between the two will be an extremely intriguing fight for the fans and the promoters.
