Boxing offers the most chaotic business. Unlike other sports, there is no such one body that governs the entire circuit. Multiple belts and titles with a number of promoters create a cut-throat competition. It is not easy to survive in this business. McMahon’s family has already tried getting involved in the boxing business earlier but failed.
It’s not an organization that is reigned by one wing. The fighters have enormous power. Their hold on the business and their shares in the fight made it more complicated for the business moguls. So if someone tries to fix the system of boxing, fighters are not going to lose the power from their hands so easily. They want this terrible business to run this way.
McMahon’s claim that they would fix this entire sporting business seems nothing more than a fantasy.
