

The super-welterweight collision between Julian Williams and Vladimir Hernandez stayed up to the buzz created around it. The duo went all guns blazing against each other and they came out with their best game plans to lure the hardcore boxing enthusiasts. Yet, in the end, it was Hernandez’s night as he bagged a gratifying split decision win.
Williams opened the fight with his quick jabs, but his southpaw opponent reverted with some counterattacks in the first round itself. Hernandez also landed a barrage of punches to put Williams on the back foot. But, ‘J Rock’, who saw an opportunity to land his hooks on Hernandez’s face and body, was successful in the same.

One of Williams’ uppercuts opened a slight stream of blood above Hernandez’s right eye. Despite that, the Mexican boxer didn’t let his rival take control of the fight. He kept coming back even after facing the wrath of Williams’ power.

The American boxer even attacked Hernandez’s body in the later rounds and he even employed a good defense. The scuffle between the two only ignited as the rounds progressed. In round 3, Hernandez began with some wild hooks, but it certainly didn’t leave a dent on ‘J Rock’.
However, the southpaw did find some success with his constant assault. While Williams continued to stand tall, his defense diminished as the fight progressed. Hence, he opened himself up to some straight lefts and hooks from Hernandez.

The duo landed their best punches in the first half of the fight itself, but their energy levels sustained well. Hernandez, on the other hand, possessed more stamina in the latter half, and he began attacking Williams’ body.

After Hernandez decoded Williams’ style, he broke into the former champ’s defense. While ‘J Rock’ responded well, he became more resistant in the concluding rounds and he struggled to keep up.
