Terence Crawford‘s recent performance against Errol Spence Jr. has ignited an intriguing debate. A significant section of the boxing world felt that “The Truth” was Crawford’s toughest opponent. However, the fight showcased that ‘Bud’ was a superior boxer to him. The undisputed welterweight champion dropped Spence Jr. three times until he got the stoppage victory in the ninth round. This was not only Crawford’s most impressive victory but also his most notable one. The 35-year-old made history over the weekend. He is the first-ever boxer to be crowned the undisputed champion in two weight divisions.

As a corollary to this, the fans are not comparing Crawford with the legends of the past, specifically Floyd Mayweather. Crawford and Mayweather share a lot in common. Both boxers are undefeated and competed in the same weight divisions. Though the fans may never be able to see them compete in the ring as the 50-0 boxer is retired, however, that does not stop the fans from speculating about the outcome of this fantasy matchup.

A fan on Twitter asserted that Crawford would have defeated a prime Mayweather had they fought each other. This opinion ignited several distinct reactions from the rest of the boxing community. So without further ado, let’s unwrap some fan reactions and dive in on this fantasy matchup.
