To make a pivotal comeback in the fight, boxing has it all. The tension between the two boxers going against each other can’t be expressed in words. One characteristic that makes a fighter stand out is the never give up attitude. And just that can do wonders for the boxer involved. However, boxing is a sport of two arms. But, a boxer once defied the odds and his dislocated shoulder to knock out his opponent.

A recent clip from the famous clash between Danny Williams and Mark Potter has resurfaced on the internet. The fight shows Williams’ tenacity as he makes a stunning comeback after having dislocated his shoulder while fighting his opponent. Williams had once been challenged for the WBC heavyweight and ring magazines titles during his professional career. But he was unable to add his name to the list of world champions.

It’s not over until you give up

The fight between Potter and Williams took place in 2001. And it is one of the most famous fights ever to take place in boxing. The fight started with Potter appearing explosive and dominating his opponent. And he was even able to knock down Williams in the first round with a cross. And, if one time was not enough, Potter did it again.

But Danny Williams was not ready to back down. And he landed a jab that sent Potter down on his knees. The two continued their exchange of punches with each other for a while. And Williams was coming out as the dominating force now. Things took a different turn when Williams ended up dislocating his shoulder while trying to throw a cross. For many, this would have been the end of the fight. But the Brit was just not ready to give up even though he’d had to fight with one arm. Williams was also able to knock out Mike Tyson.

Williams turned on his defensive game. And waited for his opponent to give him an opportunity. And that’s what happened. He got an opportunity and landed a left hook that sent Potter down. But he stood up again and was ready to fight. But, after a few punches, William threw a jab, winning the fight, which ended as a sixth-round stoppage.
