Caleb Plant and Canelo Alvarez’s slugfest is inching closer. The pair will lock horns in a 12-round undisputed super-middleweight title fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This bout ranks among the most awaited boxing clashes of 2021, and the hype behind this contest is unparalleled.

Recently, Canelo and Plant were involved in the ceremonial weigh-ins of this fight. Post their faceoff, Plant revealed his honest notions on the fight and more. But what caught everyone’s eye was Plant ignoring Mike Tyson’s handshake attempt.

‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ was on the stage while Canelo and Plant were in a faceoff. Post that, Tyson stood on the stage and waited for Plant’s interview to end. As soon as it got over, Tyson, who moved towards ‘Sweethands’ for a handshake, was snubbed.

Later, ‘Sweethands’ flexed his muscles towards the audience and saw that ‘Iron’ Mike wanted to shake hands. As a result, he acknowledged that and immediately took his hand ahead to shake hands with Mike Tyson.

Ever since Alvarez vs Plant’s fight announcement, ‘The Baddest Man on the Plant’ has remained assertive about his support for the Mexican boxer. Citing that, many fans believed that was the reason Plant ignored Tyson.

Perhaps he was in his game phase, as he was on the brink of creating history?
