Undefeated boxer Claressa Shields released an intense training video. The reigning light middleweight champion also hinted at an upcoming fight.
Shields has been inactive since January 2020. “T-Rex” was scheduled to fight Marie-Eve Dicaire in May. However, that fight was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. On ‘The Last Stand’ with Brian Custer, Shields revealed that she will box Dicaire in September.
“So my next fight is definitely against Marie-Eve Dicaire, IBF world champion from Canada. She is 17-0, we’re going to be fighting mid-September, last week of September. We just waiting for SHOWTIME to give us the date and location and it’s a go. But that fight is definitely my next fight and then after that, I would love to fight the winner of Hanna Gabriels and Raquel Miller,” Shields said.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist and three-division champion has been on a roll since he has turned pro. As of now, she is on a ten-fight win streak. The “GWOT” has completely dominated her competition at every stage of her career. Eight of her ten professional wins came via unanimous decisions. The other two ended via knockouts.
Shields is planning to transition to MMA. She has repeatedly called out reigning double champion, Amanda Nunes. Although thinking about the future can be a good thing, Shields should not look past her next opponent. Dicaire is also undefeated and has a professional record of 17-0.
