Meanwhile, Briedis won the third set and went ahead to ‘slap’ his opponent. However, the clip ended, hinting at what Briedis could do to Abdu Rozik if he would have actually planted the shot. In the caption, the world champion wrote, “Do not gamble with Deer.”

Rozik striking Briedis could have been a subtle message to his long-time rival Hasbulla Magomedov. Akin to Rozik, Hasbulla is also a popular name in the combat sphere.

Magomedov had sampled his energy several times and grabbed attention by hitting MMA elites like Daniel Cormier and others. Since Rozik has also pulled off something similar, it might bring back the potential talks of their combat collision; one that fans got a taste of at UFC 267.

On looking at the feud between Rozik and Hasbulla, UFC head honcho Dana White had hinted at hosting them in an MMA fight. That said, Rozik’s recent drill with Briedis can be a green signal towards that matchup. On the contrary, Rozik vs Hasbulla was just a proposal that didn’t come close to fruition.
