Floyd Mayweather is arguably one of the best boxers to ever grace the sport. His achievements, inside the square ring have also made him one of the richest boxers alive. In 50 professional fights, “TBE” has never been knocked down let alone be knocked out. Evident to say, that the undefeated fighter is highly skilled and his boxing acumen is through the roof.

It is important to mention that trainers have to be credited for the  success of the fighter. Nate Jones has been his trainer and also his corner man for many of his bouts. The two have complimented each other throughout Mayweather’s career.

Nate Jones gets back to training

Nate Jones is a former professional boxer and has been a close aide of Mayweather. His boxing career has been quite unique, to say the least. As per the SUN, Jones got into boxing at the young age of eight. While competing, the boxer acquired 2 golden gloves heavyweight titles back to back and also the Olympic Bronze medal.

Though he had TO retire after suffering neurological damage. However, his love for boxing and the sport was unabated. He became the trainer of Floyd Mayweather in 1996 and the magic that the two accomplished together is simply etched in history.

Not to mention, even at the age of 50, the trainer still trains in boxing. Recently, @The Nate Jones Story on YouTube shared a video of him hitting the pads. The title of the video stated, FLOYD MAYWEATHER COACH NATE JONES GOING CRAZY ON THE PADS HE STILL GOT IT!!!!”

In the video, he appears to be hitting the pads with impressive speed and power. At the age of 50, his hand speed is highly impressive. He may have left competing at a professional level but the love for the sport is there.

Nate Jones on why Floyd Mayweather does better in rematches

Jones has been with Mayweather for decades. He knows him very well and understands his ability. In a video, he talked about why Mayweather does well in rematches. Referencing Floyd’s Jose Luis Castillo fights, he states, “When you are dealing with someone like Mayweather who we’ve been around in the ring and if you see that picture again that he sent him, he has seen him the first time and when once before I got to reenact the same skill level he wasn’t going no where and that’s why Floyd beat him.”
