Mike Tyson-Youngest Heavyweight Champion of the World

Michael Gerrard Tyson was 27-0,  the golden superstar of boxing when he faced Trevor Berbick for the World title. Tyson made his way to the Heavyweight title fight, racking up vicious knockouts. No wonder he was billed to be the favorite.

The 20-year-old Tyson made a massive statement as he knocked out Berbick within 5 minutes. After a formal exchange of blows in the primary stage, Tyson landed a bomb.

He successfully became the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history, a record that remains untouched.

Return from Prison to shock the World

After serving three years of imprisonment, Tyson paved his way back to the boxing world on March 25, 1995. Don King was still his promoter and several matchups started to air up for the former champion.

Yet Tyson went ahead with the little-known Peter McNeeley. He stupefied the world as he knocked McNeeley out. Although it doesn’t mark a record for the books, it is one of the most noteworthy events for his fans.

Heavyweight champion of the Sea

Considering his superstardom, Tyson unveiled stunts which many other boxers could not even imagine. Outside the squared circle, Tyson has attained a lot too.

One of them being a meet-up with the deadly sea predators. A few days back, Tyson kicked off Discovery’s Shark Week by getting under the Bahama waters. The stunt was conducted with technical efficiency, and none of the creatures were harmed.

Tyson successfully faced the sharks and emerged as the Sea Champion.

He can add one more feather to his cap by defeating Roy Jones Jr. on November 28. The mega-fight will witness two former World Champions break their retirement for one last dance.
