He said, “Bro, he’s talking about killing me in an alley, bro. This guy is like, bro, we don’t play games at team ‘Problem Child’. F**k this guy.”

This comment gave an insight into what ‘Funky’ Ben said at the face-off. However, it also showed Askren’s antics did not intimidate Paul.

The Problem Child’ then added, “I think he just noticed he’s head over heels, you see it like, he’s capping. Like, his whole persona, his whole sh*t. He’s just… a fraud like… and he’s shorter than I thought.”

With his comments, Paul did not shy away from taking a dig at Askren. Many expected the internet sensation to be the one who started an altercation. However, somewhat surprisingly, it was the former MMA champion who did.

While trash-talk was a big part of Askren’s UFC career, the former Bellator and ONE Championship champion rarely got into a physical altercation with his opponents. Although it was always entertaining to watch, Askren kept his cool.

This time was different, and it could be a case of the fighter trying to sell the fight. Paul clearly feels it’s all fake and that he’s putting it on to seem hard. Either way, this could result in the bout becoming even more exciting.
