Logan Paul got his start on the ‘Vine’ app and his six-second clips shot him right into the grips of internet stardom. As ‘Vine’ died down, he switched over to YouTube and was initially able to boost his viewership and subscriber count by uploading new content every single day. Over a period of time, Paul solidified his position as the YouTube top-dog.

However, his ascent into internet fame had major roadblocks. In 2018; he shared an extremely controversial video titled ‘We Found a Dead Body in the Japanese Suicide Forest’ and that changed everything for him. Paul received backlash from all corners of the internet and forced him into discontinuing his online activity for quite some time.

On ‘Impaulsive’ podcast episode #303, artist Alec Monopoly made Logan Paul uncomfortable by incidentally bringing up his ‘dark’ past.

That’s when we hit it off immediately when I was like ‘should we go on the quads’ and I was like ‘I’ll take you to the trail’, then we’re passing by like burnt cars and dead bodies…” said Alec Monopoly.

As soon as he brought up the “dead bodies”, Logan Paul immediately started shaking his head and signaled everyone to change the topic right away. Mike Majlak, Impaulsive co-host, switched the topic by mocking his cameraman instead.

How did Logan Paul build himself back up after 2018?

2018 started off wrong for Logan Paul and he needed a diversion in his life to move past his mistakes. That is when an opportunity knocked on his door. He marked his comeback to the public eye with a major announcement of his first-ever boxing match against YouTube rival, KSI.

While the 2018 fight between the two internet stars ended with a majority draw, Logan Paul did not hold back from expressing his thoughts on how fighting KSI acted as the diversion that he had been looking for. He said that training for the fight helped him shift his focus and attention completely and that helped him step out of the rut and grow from his mistakes.

In 2021, Paul topped everything he has ever done to date by quite literally agreeing to fight the best ever, Floyd Mayweather. Many in the boxing community were impressed with his ability to stand his ground, take shots, and counter-strike boxing’s ‘Pretty Boy’ for all eight rounds.

While he has not hinted at a return to the ring yet, it does not seem like he has stopped training. By making Puerto Rico his base camp, he and his brother Jake Paul are committed to changing the sport of boxing forever.
