Both Manny Pacquiao and Conor Benn could have fought different opponents. However, since their potential opponents, Floyd Mayweather and Gervonta Davis, declined,  they may face each other in the near future. ‘Pac-Man,’ who wanted to represent his country in the Paris Olympics but could not do so as he does not fall under the current age limit, was ringside in this month’s Francis Ngannnou vs. Anthony Joshua fight, where he crossed paths with Benn, and both expressed a desire for a bout.

However, where the fight may transpire is still up for debate. ‘The Destroyer’ Benn is still grappling with the consequences of his two positive drug tests, and Eddie Hearn is waiting on a word from the BBBofC. Meanwhile, a clip of the eight-division champion potentially training for the Benn fight was shared on social media today by Boxing Scene

Earlier today, Boxing Scene shared a clip of the legend engaged in shadowboxing, showcasing his incredible footwork and lightning-fast speed. Meanwhile, they reported on the conversation with Hearn regarding the Pacquiao vs. Benn fight. “Listen, we all want that fight, and obviously, Manny flew in for talks and to watch the show in Saudi Arabia, so that’s what we’d like to do,” said Hearn.

Hearn and Benn had appealed to the BBBofC to allow Benn to fight in the UK since he is an English fighter and the UK people would love to see him fight. “We’re waiting for the … announcement from the appeal. We were told it was going to be in two weeks, and it’s now nearly four weeks, so we’ll be hearing about that appeal any day,” said Hearn. It’s also worth mentioning that Benn has fought twice since his stint with the ban hammer, and both bouts have occurred outside the UK.

Furthermore, Hearn clarified the fate of the potential fight isn’t in his hands. Rather, the BBBofC will dictate what happens to the fight. If it were up to Hearn, “Quite frankly, we could do Conor Benn versus Pacquiao in a stadium in London.” In the meantime, ‘The Destroyer’ has shown a willingness to step in to fill someone else’s shoes.

In the recent past, Ryan Garcia‘s bizarre behavior on social media prompted the New York Boxing Commission to impose a mandatory mental health evaluation for the boxer. However, even before this move from the NY Boxing Commission, Benn had claimed he wouldn’t mind fighting Devin Haney if Garcia jumped ship.

While appearing in an interview with iFL TV, the undefeated English man said, “Haney’s another one piping up. Alright, no problem, there’s the contract. Probably ’cause he knew he was fighting Garcia. He probably knew that was happening,” said Benn. He further added, “No problem, I’ll jump in if Garcia doesn’t follow through. No problem, and I stand on that. If Garcia falls through, I’ll jump in.” It’s also worth mentioning that Benn has fought twice since his stint with the ban hammer.
