Popular comedian Bill Maher recently appeared as a guest on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson. The retired boxer and the guest talked about a variety of topics. And the episode progressed to discuss the life of the late actress Marilyn Monroe.
Maher mentioned, “She was a candle in the wind, what can I say? She apparently was very abused all through her life. I feel bad for her, well not anymore. She is dead. She was apparently, you know, passed around by the people in the studio system at the time because that’s how they did it.”

Tyson interrupted him and asked, “It was from that that made her less of a human being? Perhaps you think. When you speak of her, you speak of her as if she doesn’t deserve anything.”
Reacting to Tyson’s remarks, Maher tried to make it more clear and stated, “I did not ever say that. You are putting words in my mouth that are not my words. I said she’s a dunce that I’m not attracted to her. How do you get from there to I don’t think she’s a worthy human being.”

It was a heated topic when Tyson and Maher started talking about Monroe’s life. Tyson apparently felt it was misleading for Maher to refer to Monroe as a “dunce.” In contrast to what Maher said, the boxer held a different opinion of the late actor.
