Recently, an old video of Oleksandr Usyk surfaced over the internet. This video did rounds on social media because the Ukrainian fighter was sparring two pugilists to polish and elevate his skills.

Sparring two boxers at a time is a different ballgame altogether, as it requires sheer focus and attention. Usyk, for the right reasons, took up this challenge to do something unique in his training camp.

In the above video, the 34-year-old showed a snippet of his slick defense, wherein he also dodged two punches at the same time. He played around both the boxers with his light and swift movements, too.

The ex-cruiserweight champ is known for engaging in unusual drills in his training regimes. This helps Usyk chalk out strategies that his opponents rarely expect.

Unlike Anthony Joshua, Usyk isn’t a one-punch finisher. He takes his opponents in his range first and uses his fiery jabs and hooks to play with them, advancing himself on the scorecards. Once he figures out the distance, Usyk goes in for the kill.

In his past heavyweight fights against Derek Chisora and Chazz Witherspoon, Oleksandr Usyk showed these abilities. Hence, it won’t be far-fetched to assume that he might pull off something similar against ‘AJ’ too.

The Brit will pose a different challenge to Usyk, as he’s a more agile and powerful fighter than the other two heavyweights. That being said, it won’t be so easy for Usyk to trouble Joshua. However, as a former undisputed champion, Usyk will surely have something in the bag for the biggest fight of his career.
