A stunning victory over Wladimir Klitschko had won Tyson Fury the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, Lineal and The Ring heavyweight titles. For the next three years, he was not to be seen inside a boxing bout for various reasons.

As the year 2018 made its way, Fury showed hints of a return. A few months later, Fury was up against Sefer Seferi. Although a rather easy opponent for Fury on most days, it took some time for him to get going. Perhaps ring rust. Or perhaps, he just wanted to spend some time in the ring as he would say after the fight.

“If I am brutally honest I could have done him in the first 10 seconds,” Fury said after the fight. “But what good would that have done me?

“It was like having my debut again and I needed to get a few rounds in. But the calibre of my opponents will keep rising.”

The fight, for most parts, remained a dull watch. It began to get better but Sefer was late returning back to the fifth round and the fight ended after four rounds. The officials declared Fury as the winner ruling Sefer out.

“Sefer is a very tough guy,” Fury said afterwards. “He started to get on the back foot and move a bit. It wasn’t my fault that they pulled him out.”

It was Gordon Hill, better known by the name “The Wealdstone Raider” as an internet meme. He challenged the fighters on the stage and walked away leaving everyone laughing.
