Wild rumors are floating as Devin Haney fights against Regis Prograis and gears up for an exciting match-up. However, this time around, the 25-year-old is not competing in the capacity of a champion. Instead, he is the challenger. The lightweight boxer is moving up in weight division and competing in the super-lightweight division. The weight disparity between the two is not significant, but one may wonder if his power translates into a higher division.

To fuel the discussion further, a WBA champion recently weighed in on this upcoming match-up and also the power of Haney in the super-lightweight division.

Haney vs. Prograis? World Champion predicts

The world champion is none other than Adam Azim. The young 21-year-old is the current title holder of the WBA light-welterweight title. According to him, Devin Haney is the more skillful boxer and believes he can come out on top. But at the same time, Azim does not foresee the victory to come through via a stoppage. He credits his claim due to the weight disparity.

In an interview with Fight. Hub TV, Adam Azim stated, “Devin Haney comes out with ease in the fight. I think he is world-class. I think he’s better at 140. Regis Prograis in the last couple of fights has not impressed me but I feel like Devin Haney wins with ease. I think he outboxes him. I don’t think he has the power to stop him.”

Many may have conflicting or even similar predictions. However, it bears mention that he is a world champion and competes at a closer weight class. Azim’s judgment on this match-up ends up of great relevance. Moreover, ahead of the fight, Prograis sent a stern warning to the 25-year-old year.
