Subsequently, he disappeared from the limelight. Recently, the WBC president, Mauricio Sulaiman, spoke to Es News about Spence Jr.’s injury and more.

Sulaiman said, “Oh, he’s great. We went out for dinner. He’s a great great ambassador, he’s a role model. He’s been through very difficult times, he’s the miracle man and I’m very proud of him and we will support him one hundred percent.”

‘The Truth’s fight with Manny Pacquiao was termed as the biggest welterweight collision of 2021 as it would see Errol Spence Jr fight a mega opponent and would mark the return of ‘Pac-Man’ after over two years out of the game.

However, as Spence Jr. injured himself, Pacquiao had to face the WBA welterweight ‘super’ champ, Yordenis Ugas.

Many expected ‘Pac Man’ to win and get over the line to face Spence Jr. But the veteran lost the fight and announced his retirement, pouring cold water on his matchup with ‘The Truth’.

When will Errol Spence Jr. come back inside the ring?

For now, there’s no concrete news on Spence Jr.‘s return to the ring or even to training. As 2021 is almost at a close, it’s unlikely that he’ll get aligned for a fight in this calendar year.
