WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman has been an advocate against bullying for a long time and made it clear after sending a strong message to a teenage girl who was recently bullied in England.

A video recently went viral in which a girl was attacked by two other women. The video showed the girl being assaulted in public. Following the event, Sulaiman released a video where he showed his support for the young victim.

Mauricio Sulaiman shares a message for the bullied victim

In the video, he empathized with the girl and stated that she was not alone with the whole world being behind her. Moreover, he even revealed that he would be sending gloves to the teenage girl and get her boxing training started as soon as possible.

Mauricio Sulaiman I am president of the WBC. The whole world is behind you. These green and gold gloves are going your way. Very soon we’re sending them to you. I’m in London going home, but I’m sending it to you tomorrow and we’ll start the process of you to train in boxing. Not for you to get even just to show what a champion you are and you have so many friends behind you. Stay strong.” he said.

This is certainly a great gesture by the WBC president as he aims to make boxing an effective sport to combat the widespread problem of bullying.

In addition, this will only make the sport more popular among children who are victims of bullying and the requisite skills to defend themselves.

What exactly happened in the viral bullying incident

According to the BBC, the attack took place in the streets of Erdington. It was reported that two girls attacked another teenager on November 27th. In the attack, the victim was pulled and dragged down by her hair, even got kicked on the floor.

The West Midlands Police revealed that the victim was shaken up by the incident and was also bruised.

“We have spoken to the victim, who was left bruised and understandably shaken by the assault,” the force said.

However, the two perpetrators have been arrested by the police who are further investigating this incident.
