In an interview that took place a few years ago, Laila Ali went on to explain, “I’m divorced and my ex-husband was a fighter. So he understood fighting. He never really liked it. He was also my promoter, but he knew, he understood it, you know. But look, we are divorced now and now I have a boyfriend and he is not comfortable with fighting.”
