‘We Hated Each Other’: Liam Payne Makes Stunning Revelation to Logan Paul About Former Bandmate

YouTuber turned boxer Logan Paul has always shared intriguing stories in his podcast. One story that will surely engage One Direction fans would be singer Liam Payne opening up about his relationship with former bandmate Louis Tomilson.
Payne was talking at the ‘Impaulsive‘ podcast with Paul and his co-hosts Mike Majlak and George Janko. In conversation, he was telling them about joining the band.

Moreover, he even mentioned how few of the band members were rowdy, especially Tomilson. Payne said, “Louis was wild. Louis was wild, and he wanted to be wild. That’s his spirit and also he’s my best mate now.
In fact, he mentioned the duo was at sword’s end during their time in the band. Payne said, “But in the band, we hated each other. Like come to blows hate each other. It was like, it was close. But it’s like his journey to the mind was a little bit different.”
Payne also added that he had the opportunity to sing the first verse every week, while Tomilson found his voice in the later albums. However, he clarified Tomilson played a crucial part in making One Direction popular.

Payne gave special emphasis on the success of his song ‘Strip that down’. Talking about his song, he also mentioned that he outsold his former bandmates. He said, “Ed Sheeran wrote me this song and I thought sh*t. Here we blo*dy well go again. Here we go boys, pull your shorts up, off we pop. We did the first song, billion streams. I think it outsold everybody within the band and I was the last to go.”

However, Payne’s statement did not sit well with One Direction fans. Many of them took to social media to call out Payne for his claim. Moreover, they also mentioned that his former bandmates were more successful. The fans will obviously come to the defence of their favorite band and that is nothing new, but, thankfully, Payne hasn’t responded negatively to their comments. By now he’s a veteran of show business and knows it’s best to be indifferent to the noise made by said fans.
