The video starts off with Paul stating that he spent $3000 on the costume and describing the challenges faced to take the picture, “I love mythology, dragons, fairies, mermaids. We had a custom mermaid tail made for like $3000 and we put the mermaid’s tail on her so she couldn’t basically move. So me and George had to like drag her around. The angle on this photo was tough. I had to like stand on this ladder, and the ladder was sinking in the sand as the water would wash up.” Paul said.

Moreover, Paul added that it took two different tries to shoot the photo because he wasn’t satisfied with the original picture. “It actually took us two tries to shoot. I had to fly Trisha back out of Puerto Rico because I didn’t like what happened in the first round. The sun, the waves, the reflection of the sand I didn’t like the original takes and sometimes. I am a little dark at work. I like the ability to interpret chaos.” Paul added.

Lastly, Paul stated how they finally got the photo right, also making a dark admission. He said, “you see all these videos online ‘oh mermaid found washed on shore” so we put Trisha face down kinda with her arms spread in what looks like a pretty desolate situation, and perhaps this was the last living mermaid on earth. We killed a mermaid for this project”
