Boxing legend Muhammad Ali’s daughter, Laila Ali, is an icon in her own right. She retired undefeated while holding the WBC, WIBA, IWBF, and IBA female super middleweight titles. Moreover, she also held the IWBF light heavyweight title. Meanwhile, she is an outspoken individual who has no qualms about speaking her mind, on issues close to her heart. In fact, she recently took to social media to open up about human trafficking.

Operation Underground Railroad is a non-profit organization that works on the rescue of individuals who are victims of human trafficking. Notably, they also gave special emphasis on the rescue of children who are victims of trafficking.

The organization recently posted a video on its Instagram page shedding light on the protection of children. It was further written in the caption, “We need you! It’s happening everywhere and we need you to take action to help end it! Share this post with your friends and family today to spread awareness of the truth of child trafficking and exploitation.”

Not the first time Laila Ali voiced against human trafficking

It is worth mentioning that this was not the first time that Laila Ali spoke against human trafficking. In fact, she rang in the holiday season with a heartfelt message against the issue.

In an Instagram post, she spoke about taking a stand, by saying, “No matter what time of the year everyone deserves a safe space free of violence and exploitation. Now airports are a common place for human trafficking which happens every single day in communities across the country.”

Ali further added, “Now if you’re traveling this holiday season please be alert and stay aware of your surroundings. Signs of trafficking include forced coercion or deception.”

Moreover, she also shared the number of the helpline on her post.
