Recently, Tyson Fury weighed in on his boxing career as well as future matchups. The “Gypsy King” wants to fight Anthony Joshua, but he is willing to fight Dillian Whyte too.

In February, fans witnessed one of the greatest rematches in boxing history. After their first fight ended in a controversial draw, Fury and Deontay Wilder agreed to a rematch.

Unlike their first bout, the second fight was completely dominated by Fury. The Brit stopped Wilder in the seventh round and won the WBC heavyweight championship.

Fans around the world now want Fury to compete against fellow British rival, Anthony Joshua. However, before that fight takes place, Fury has to get through Wilder for the second time. And Joshua has to defeat Kubrat Pulev.

“If I get knocked out by Deontay Wilder, there will be another fight with Wilder and so forth and so on. And if he loses to Pulev, so close but so far away. In heavyweight boxing, you can never count your chicken before they hatch,” Fury told Adam Smith of Sky Sports Boxing.

Tyson Fury will fight Dillian Whyte if needed

Whyte, who had his suspension lifted, was reinstated as a mandatory challenger and the interim WBC heavyweight champion in December 2019. If Fury vs Joshua does not materialize by early 2021, Fury is willing to put “a beating” on Whyte.

Furthermore, he said that he has achieved everything he wanted to and there is nothing left to prove.

“I’ve achieved a lot in boxing. I have achieved more than any active heavyweight alive today. About where I am in my career and what I am doing, if I never have a boxing fight, I’d be happy. I have completed the game. The game’s over, it’s completed.

“[I’ve] won every single belt in boxing, from English title to becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. All done, finished, considered, the best, done! If I don’t box again, I am happy. But if I do box again, then I continue to box.”

In the end, he stated that if the pandemic goes away, he will continue boxing.
