The founder and CEO of Top Rank Promotions, Bob Arum, saw 2020 as one of his best years. Two of his big-wig fighters, Tyson Fury and Teofimo Lopez, bagged The Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year for their magnetic performance in 2020.

Arum was in a chat with iFL TV Boxing and he shared his thoughts on this sublime feat achieved by his fighters.

“Well, I am thrilled that both these guys made the prestigious honor of being Ring Magazine fighter of the year. Well-deserved,” said Arum.

“Two terrific fighters who I believe, in 2021, will have even bigger year.”

Arum concluded by saying, “I think Teofimo will go through all the lightweights we mentioned and I look for Tyson Fury to win by KO over Anthony Joshua and go on and have a tremendous 2021.”

Arum looked extremely jovial with both of his fighters bagging the highly reputable award at the pinnacle of their careers. Both of his fighters put their career-best performances this year.

Tyson Fury knocked out Deontay Wilder to be the undefeated WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion of the world. On the other hand, Teofimo Lopez defeated Vasyl Lomachenko to hold the WBA, IBF, WBO, and The Ring Lightweight golds.

The Top Rank CEO put some spotlight on how 2021 will be for both of his fighters. He expressed his gratitude for The Ring for honoring both of his fighters instead of picking one.

Bob Arum predicts Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight

Arum believes there is no other fight in the heavyweight roster as important as the Fury vs Joshua fight. In the aforementioned conversation, Arum said, “I look for Tyson Fury to win by KO over Anthony Joshua and go on and have a tremendous 2021.”

This fight between the duo carries a lot of hype and expectations. It has the capacity to determine the face of modern-day boxing.
