Mike Tyson spoke on his personal life and the relationship he shares with his wife on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience.’ Tyson has appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast in the past as well and has endeared himself to fans with his frank nature. He touched upon several topics that ranged from his life inside and outside the canvas of the ring.

“Iron Mike” has been in the news ever since he announced his return to boxing after a lengthy absence. He last competed back in 2005 and ended his stellar professional career with a slew of brutal KO losses. Though it’s an exhibition bout, the eight-round fight affords him the perfect opportunity to end his career on a massive high.

Mike Tyson says he is disastrous at living life

The legendary boxer candidly spoke out on the positive impact his wife had on his life after fighting. The fierce competitor in Tyson has died down largely after going on a nearly 15-year long hiatus from training. He explained the significance of her impact in conversation with Joe Rogan.

“I’m so happy that my wife is with me, I’m very grateful and stuff. Through her, I have to learn to live life. I’m disastrous at living life.

“All these nice words and I’m conducting my self..and my nice house. This guy is just an uncouth Neanderthal, you know, so I just listen to my wife. Before I came here, she told me ‘be kind and be nice to everyone’. Cause I don’t eat most of the time and she says if I don’t eat enough then I’ll get angry easily, so she’s forcing me to eat this stuff.”

Mike Tyson has settled into his role as a family man and has embraced the simpler aspects of daily life. Additionally, being the megastar that he is, conforming to a routine came across as challenging for Mike. It appears that his relationship has brought him plenty of stability and allows him to focus on his craft.

“We’ve been married 11 years, and I was talking to her and I said you know sometimes I think about we’re together and this is gonna be over, and we’re gonna die. I said I would not know what to do if you died first. Her life is me and all my kids. Not just the two kids that we have, but her life is me and all my kids and I just love her and married her for that alone.”

Fight fans love seeing the softer side of “Iron Mike.” However, they are equally excited to see him return to action. Furthermore, the fight being moved from September to November opens the door to the possibility of a live crowd.
