In a whirlwind of punches and anticipation, Jake Paul emerged victorious with a unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz in their highly anticipated boxing match. The YouTuber-turned-boxer proved once again that he was more than just a social media sensation. However, just as the cheers were settling and the dust was starting to clear, Paul stirred the pot yet again, making some audacious claims about the pay-per-view (PPV) sales of the fight.
It was recently reported that the fight sold 450,000 PPV buys which is quite less than the 800,000 sold for his fight with Tommy Fury. However, ‘The Problem Child’ has refuted this claim. The social media star recently took to social media to come out with a bold proclamation, seemingly debunking reports of lackluster PPV buy rates.

Paul recently posted some figures Instagram story that boasted staggering numbers, claiming that his bout with Nate Diaz garnered twice the PPV buys compared to his clash with Fury which will be equal to 1.6 million buys. Moreover, he addressed the 20% price increase for the fight, asserting that it had no discernible effect on the number of buys.
“2x residential PPV buys in the US even though it was priced 20% higher than Fury… 5x commercial PPV revenue in the US.” he wrote.

As the dust settled on the Ohio native’s brash claims, fans and pundits alike were left grappling with the revelations. Some found themselves in awe of the sheer audacity of the figures Paul was touting, while others met the claims with skepticism and disbelief.
A user named David Dolan was not buying Paul’s claims. According to him the event was nowhere near as popular as the PPV numbers reflect. “What a load of s**t, the event was more dead the Jake’s performance” he wrote.
Another user Sameer Aladoofi claimed that numbers from Happy Punch reveal that the event sold 450,000 units. “Happy punch said 450k. Whos capping?” he wrote.
Moreover, a user was sure the event did not surpass Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis, which sold 1.6 million units. “Definitely didn’t do more than tank n Garcia” he wrote.
However, a user couldn’t believe the event pulled off such staggering numbers. “no wayyyyy 1.5 million ppv buys” he wrote.
Meanwhile, a user named Mikeal Sutton stated that if the fight did the numbers Paul claims, he would post the numbers. “If it did double the numbers you’d definitely post the numbers.” he wrote.
