Recently, the two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury announced his retirement following a stellar performance against Dillian Whyte. Ever since, boxing fans have been anticipating what is in store for ‘The Gypsy King’. Incidentally, Fury recently revealed that he wishes to face Derek Chisora again. Top Rank CEO Bob Arum also opened up about the potential showdown.

Notably, Fury had previously faced Chisora twice, winning both bouts by decision.

Arum was in conversation at the Fight Freaks Unite podcast. He mentioned that he does not wish to take Fury’s statement seriously. Arum said, “He’s having fun. He gets up in the morning. He figures what kind of sh*t to stir up and he says whatever he thinks.”

And, he also mentioned that Fury is capable of making such claims as he has a loyal following on social media platforms. Moreover, he added that he was in fact waiting for the outcome of the Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua showdown. Talking about what he thinks of Fury’s statement, Arum said, “Nothing. What are we, crazy? Everybody is waiting for the fight to happen a week from Saturday and then we’ll explore whether it’s feasible to do a fight for the complete unification. He’s having fun, for Christ’s sake! Don’t take it seriously!”

Meanwhile, Fury recently took to social media to call out Chisora for a trilogy showdown. He announced that he will be making a comeback to the ring and facing Chisora.

Further, he took to Twitter to mention that he has chosen Isaac Lowe as his trainer. And also stated that he will be the first fighter in history to have two trilogies as a heavyweight.
