In the boxing world, where strategy commands attention, an unexpected subject seized the spotlight. In a recent Instagram post, Oscar De La Hoya danced along to a song with his girlfriend, Holly Sonders, sitting up front. The post from ‘The Golden Boy’ seemed to be about showing appreciation to Sonders for being in his life. But surprisingly, the spotlight went elsewhere as fans started reacting to Sonders’ face. What is drawing fans to Sonders’ face, and why are they calling her scary?

Oscar and Sonders officially began dating in November 2021, having met at a boxing match. The beautiful couple made several appearances together in media and on social media. But never before had this topic taken up so much traction. So, the question is, what went wrong this time? What is the boxing community saying about Sonders’ looks?

It’s so sad, she’s human, she’s beautiful, & none of us know her like Oscar does, she obviously has a beautiful heart and that’s all that truly matters. What did Oscar De La Hoya say about these comments?

Navigating stardom as a beloved celebrity or internet personality has its challenges, notably dealing with negative public opinions. No matter what someone does, there will always be people who will find something wrong with it. Nonetheless, Oscar did not expect such comments from his fans but responded to them.

In his initial response, he hinted that the comments were from paid bots. He said, “Wow, these bots are costing someone so much money.” In another, he said, “I cannot believe how many bots are on me and hate. It’s nuts. But life goes on.” Even Sonders commented on the post, seemingly ignoring all the hate. Her comment read, “Te Amo forever bubs!!! Creating new businesses, focusing on those who truly care about us, spreading happiness, and laughing and loving. I hope everyone can find this peace.”
