The boxing main event between Vasyl Lomachenko and Masayoshi Nakatani ended in the most sensational fashion. In this fight, the Ukrainian boxer came out on top by battering Nakatani. As a result, ‘The Matrix’ ended up winning this fight via T/KO in round 9 of the 12-round slugfest.

Both the fighters traded extensive blows with each other. However, it was Lomachenko who edged his foe with his out-of-the-box prowess. He began his assault right from the first bell and showed an altogether improved version of himself in this career-defining fight. Although Nakatani had his moments inside the ring, it was ‘Loma’ who dictated the pace of the fight efficiently.

Despite the results, the duo put on a classic entertainer for fans and kept everyone glued to their TV screens. Moving further, what’s next for this pair?

Now, on the back of this result, Lomachenko now wants to settle his scores with the American boxer.

On the other hand, Nakatani, who has fought some bigwigs in the lightweight division, has several sturdy opponents to test himself against in his next fight. Richard Commey, Jorge Linares, and Luke Campbell are some opponents who’re waiting to reach the peak of the division.

That said, a fight with either of these boxers will help the Japanese pugilist elevate his boxing stint to another level.
