Lomachenko, one of the prime fighters in the 135-pound division, confronted Teofimo Lopez last year. He was a favorite in that clash, but to everyone’s surprise, he suffered a horrifying loss to ‘The Takeover’. Since then he has only asked for a Teofimo Lopez rematch, however, he couldn’t get the same.
Now, on the back of this result, Lomachenko now wants to settle his scores with the American boxer.
On the other hand, Nakatani, who has fought some bigwigs in the lightweight division, has several sturdy opponents to test himself against in his next fight. Richard Commey, Jorge Linares, and Luke Campbell are some opponents who’re waiting to reach the peak of the division.
That said, a fight with either of these boxers will help the Japanese pugilist elevate his boxing stint to another level.
