Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a boxing icon, popularly known as ‘Pretty Boy’. The 45-year-old owns a boxing promotion company named Mayweather Promotions. The superstar is an A-lister of boxing who always stays in the spotlight of the media.

Floyd Mayweather claims himself better than Muhammad Ali

Floyd Mayweather, recently claimed that he is better than the most celebrated boxer of all time – Muhammad Ali. Mayweather says, “I’m better than Muhammad Ali.”

Mayweather retired from boxing with a perfect 50-0 record. The 45-year-old was asked to rank the top five boxers in an interview. Mayweather put himself first on the list, followed by Roberto Duran and Pernell Whitaker, in that order. In addition, Julio Cesar was ranked fourth and Muhammad Ali was ranked last on the list.

Following this, Mike Tyson was asked about Pretty Boy’s comment on Ali. Tyson replied, “He’s very delusional. If he was anywhere near that realm of great Ali, he’d be able to take his kids to school by himself.” 

The Baddest Man on the Planet had the exact opposite views from Mayweather. Tyson further continues, “Greatness is not guarding yourself from the people. Greatness is being accepted by the people.” 

It is a known fact that Tyson has a huge amount of love and respect for Muhammad Ali, and it seems that he cannot take a word against him. The 55-year-old brands Mayweather as a scared man. “He’s a little scared man, he’s a very small scared man.”

Mike Tyson claims Muhammad Ali to be the greatest of all time 

In the 1989 Arsenio Hall Show, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Mike Tyson were invited as guests. Without thinking much, Tyson surrenders to Ali with respect and says, “Every head must bow, every tongue must confess, this is the greatest of all time.”
