So, it came as no surprise when rapper Snoop Dogg praised Tyson for the effect he has had on popular culture and also shared artwork featuring the boxer along with other celebrities of the 80s.

Snoop Dogg praises Mike Tyson

In an episode of HotBoxin,’ the rapper commended Tyson for his impact outside the ring and explained why he thought that the boxer is one of the most influential people of his generation.

He says,”‘I mean, he gotta because he’s Tyson and his brand exceeds the boxing ring. He needs to be everywhere he needs; he needs to be in every facet, in everything moving because he was culture, he was culture shocking. When Mike was the man he set the trend, how to look, how to wear jewelry, how to act”

Moreover, Snoop also went on to share a piece of artwork on his Instagram story which features The Baddest Man On The Planet alongside some other prominent figures with the caption, “Basically the 80s-90’s wrapped up in one piece”

Along with being one of the best boxers to ever grace the sport, Iron Mike has also transcended the sport and become a notable pop-culture figure. Moreover, he has acted in movies such as Undisputed and The Hangover, which won a Golden Globe award along with making many appearances in the WWE as well.

Tyson now has his own podcast HotBoxin, which has featured many prominent figures and athletes, including Snoop Dogg himself. The 55-year has been retired for some time, but he is still one of the most influential figures both in and out of the sport.
