In the presence of Hall of Famers like Floyd Mayweather, Muhammad Ali’s daughter, detailed how her husband tried to convince her to leave her passion. She said first her father, and then her second husband, Curtis Conway, never wanted her to become a boxer.

“It’s funny …. When we met, I just fought and had filed for divorce. It was time for me to go back to training camp,” said Laila.

She continued, “He said, ‘No, you want to go fighting? How much money you make? I’ll just give you the money.’ I was like, ‘Babe, this is what I love. This is what I do.’ I was doing it because I loved it. Boxing will always be my first love.”

Regardless of every obstacle, the 44-year-old continued her journey and went on to become one of the greatest female boxers of all time.

Relationship between Laila Ali and Curtis Conway

After divorcing her first husband in 2005, Ali started dating Curtis Conway, a former wide receiver for the NFL’s Chicago Bears, and San Diego Chargers. According to reports, they met at a house party.

In 2007, they decided to take their relationship to another level so the duo exchanged vows to live together. As of now, Laila and Conway have two kids. Their son named, Curtis Jr, was born in 2007. While four years later, their daughter, Sydney became the part of family as a baby child.

Away from the spotlight, the couple shares very good chemistry.
