The WBC middleweight champion, Jermall Charlo, has fired shots at a fellow champ, Gennady Golovkin. ‘Hit Man’ expressed his inquisitiveness to take on the stout ‘GGG’ for an abrupt 12-round war.
Speaking to Brian Custer recently, Charlo said:
“Where the f**k is ‘GGG’? Why ain’t nobody talking about him? He’s still top tier. If I can’t get Canelo, at least I can get ‘GGG’ right? You’ll want to see me test it.”

Charlo looked fierce in his statement whilst calling out the Kazakhstan boxer. He wishes to fight both Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin. But since the Mexican boxer is tracing the pathway to become the undisputed super-middleweight champ, ‘Hit Man’ feels Golovkin is just the ideal opponent for him now.

‘GGG’ last stepped inside the boxing ring in December 2020. He terrified his fellow opponent, Kamil Szemerata, defeating him via an RTD in round 7. Though the 38-year-old hasn’t kept an active run in boxing past few years, he still employed vast skill sets from his artillery in this fight.
Moving ahead, Golovkin is currently unaligned with any opponent. But since Charlo has called him out for a fight, it seems ‘GGG’s highly anticipated return to the ring might be on the cards for late 2021.
