Shakur Stevenson is absolutely dominating the scene right now. His boxing prowess and fight IQ have taken the boxing community by storm. But there is one more fighter whom fans want to see fight Shakur. It’s none other than Gervonta Davis. ‘Tank’ Davis currently holds the WBA regular Lightweight belt. His recent dominating victory over Ryan Garcia has elevated him to an elite-level boxer. So, unsurprisingly, talks of these two meeting in the square ring have been floating around the internet. 

However, arranging a fight between them is not as easy as someone might think. Also, Stevenson getting ready to face Edwin De Los Santos for the vacant WBC Lightweight title on the 16th of November. So, a fight between Davis and Stevenson is out of the question, at least until then. However, that’s not the only hurdle in the fight. In a recent discussion on ‘MILLION DOLLAZ WORTH OF GAME,’ Stevenson shed light on the only way he thinks the fight between them can happen. 

Shakur Stevenson explains how the fight can happen

In a recent interview on YouTube, Stevenson revealed how he thinks the fight can become a reality. Putting it in the most polite way possible, ‘Sugar’ said, “I’mma tell you the truth – I’m not Tank, he’s the big star, he’s the PPV star. I can’t throw no offers to Tank. Who am I to throw an offer to the biggest star in boxing?” 

Stevenson explained that the offer has to come from Davis’ side. He said, “That would have to be on their part to wanna do that. I would love that fight. I think that’s the best fight in boxing and I wanna prove to the world who I truly am.” Despite his modest approach, Stevenson has a very good shot at winning if that match ever becomes a reality. However, according to ‘Tank’, his most fearsome opponent is someone else entirely.

Davis is one of those fighters whose name is enough to guarantee huge PPV sales. The same was on full display in his last fight against Garcia. The fight broke records and brought huge amounts of money into the picture. Besides, ‘Tank’ is still undefeated with his spotless 29-0 record. But there is one boxer who ‘Tank’ thinks can defeat him. Recently, ‘Tank’ stated to a publication that the only person who can beat him is Gervonta Davis. It might not be the answer people were looking for, but it’s true. Recently, authorities arrested Davis for breaking a house arrest order.
