For most fighters, the path to a big break comes after years of struggles and grinding. So, never in his wildest dreams would Jake Wyllie have thought that his world would turn upside down after a simple phone call. He was initially planning to be one of the many faces in the crowd, cheering his childhood hero George Kambosos Jr. against Daud Yordan. He had even bought the tickets. However, mere days before the bout, Yordan pulled out due to medical reasons. As fate would have it, The Machine’s phone rang, giving him a chance to redefine his career.

It was an easy enough decision and Wyllie wasted no time in accepting to step in as Yordan’s replacement against Kambosos in the main event. However, seizing that chance demanded more than just courage. It required a foundation strong enough to bear the weight of doubt and fear. That foundation was his partner, Tiaha Tyler. Tyler was supposed to fly with Wyllie to Sydney to enjoy the Kambosos fight. Instead, she’ll now be right there in the front row at Qudos Bank Arena this Saturday, with her heart swelling with pride as she watches her partner achieve the dream he’s long had.

While there is very limited information regarding Tyler and Wyllie’s relationship, the duo has been together for a long time now. Talking about the profession, Tyler has made significant strides in her professional career. The 22-year-old Brisbane native recently completed her bachelor of paramedicine and is currently working as a support worker. She has been doing the support work for more than a year and works usually with the elderly, and people struggling with Down Syndrome, ADHD, and CMS.

Beyond her role as a support worker, she is also an Independent Consultant for Arbonne, a company specializing in skin care and nutrition products. Tyler passionately promotes their product range, helping customers find items that align with their beauty and wellness needs, just like she has done with Jake Wyllie over the years.
