Mayweather took the loss in his stride and said, “It was marvelous just being here, just to get to this plateau. For all the fans that supported me, to everybody behind the scenes, I really appreciate it. We had a great time.”

Mayweather went on to knock the Brit out and stake his claim as one of the greatest boxers of all time. Hatton found it hard to land punches on Mayweather and hardly dealt any punishment.
