After Anthony Joshua’s last performance against Francis Ngannou, it appears that AJ’s stocks have soared to new heights. All fans and pundits want now is the clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk to produce the undisputed champion, so Anthony Joshua can square off against the winner. Meanwhile, the Brit has started making headlines for his moves in the gym.

Not long ago, the former unified champion was spotted in the gym practicing his MMA-style kicks, leaving fans awestruck with his talent. In the latest video release, Joshua shared his adventures with a heavy bag on his Instagram story recently, leaving many excited about the new and improved Joshua. The clip was later picked up by talkSport editor Michael Benson.

Turning to X (formerly Twitter), Benson shared the clip in question with the caption, “Anthony Joshua working the heavy bag in the gym today…” Meanwhile, Joshua, covered in sweat because of his training, can be seen working the heavy bag, throwing several hooks, uppercuts, and jabs.

Since Joshua has recently revealed his plans to retire, claiming he might hang up the gloves after 2026, when he is 37, the clip managed to stir up conversation among fans about what could be in store for Joshua next. While some praised the former champion, others were hopeful for Joshua’s undisputed fate.

Fan hopes Oleksandr Usyk retires after win over Fury

After going viral for knocking out Ngannou in his last fight, Joshua’s training clip didn’t take long to gain traction among fans. One user praised Joshua’s work ethic and ability to stay in shape even when there’s no potential fight in sight. And the user is absolutely correct! Right after Joshua’s spectacular win over Ngannou, the Brit went straight back to the gym. He even shared pictures from the gym on social media. 

Meanwhile, this user seems to think Joshua is avoiding a fight against Dillian Whyte. However, in reality, Joshua fought and defeated Whyte all the way back in December 2015 via seventh-round knockout. 

The next user seems to be a big Rocky Marciano fan, who questioned why Joshua’s isn’t throwing combinations like the late legend. Marciano was a legendary heavyweight boxer who finished his career in 1955 with a blemishless record of 49-0-0 and 43 knockouts.

Another user praised Joshua and his trainer, Ben Davison, for taking Joshua’s boxing prowess to the next level. The user thinks Usyk will retire after defeating Fury, and even if he doesn’t, the new and improved Joshua could beat Usyk easily.

Someone else hoped for Joshua to be part of the upcoming 5v5 event in Saudi Arabia between Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren. However, that’s highly unlikely to happen since Joshua is coming out of a fight against Ngannou.
