Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul’s slugfest turned out to be one of the most spine-chilling boxing bouts of 2021. This contest proved to be a true entertainer and no one could have asked for more in this final boxing event of this calendar year. Woodley ended up on the losing side through a vicious KO coming from the YouTuber turned boxer.
Prior to that, the fight seemed well in favor of the former UFC welterweight king. However, nobody expected ‘The Problem Child’ to deliver a devastating overhand at 2:12 of the sixth round to put Woodley on the canvas.
In his post-fight press conference, ‘The Chosen One’ opened up on his mistake in this rematch.

He said, “I went back, and I looked at it, am like why the f*** did I drop my hands! I would have both hands up. I was ready, I knew that was coming, and I was ready to block.”
The fight began on a slow note, for both the men were on a vigil in the early rounds itself. Woodley got some success in the mid-rounds with his power-packed combinations and right hands. Also, the duo headbutt each other, which eventually opened a stream of blood on Paul’s head.

Prior to this, it was hard for Paul to keep his focus going for the match. But ‘The Problem Child’ waited for Woodley to commit that one mistake by dropping his guard just when Woodley thought Paul wouldn’t smother him with his best shot.
Tyron Woodley might not have expected Jake Paul to come up with such a solid shot
For the first six rounds, Jake Paul did not really engage in a wild exchange with Tyron Woodley.

With this, ‘The Chosen One’ set a pace for the fight and he thought the tussle would progress accordingly. Also, citing Paul’s approach, he might not have thought about the YouTuber coming in with such a prolific shot.
